Wudang Taoist Wuji Kungfu Academy was founded by Master Chen Lisheng, a 15th generation disciple of Wudang Xuanwu Pai (Sect). Master Chen obtained his master degree from China Taoist Academy. He is a professional in Taoist wushu & health cultivation. Our school is located at the Wudang Mountain Scenic Area (a UNESCO Heritage Site & 5A China National Scenic Spot).

Our teaching is based on the traditional Wudang cultures of “Dao (Tao), De (Moral), Wen (Literature), Wu (Martial Art), Yi (Medical), Yi (Skills). Our mission is to inherit and develop the traditional Wudang wushu and health cultivation culture.

Features of the school: Head coach Master Chen Lisheng presides over the teaching and assists by his disciples.
Wudang Taoist Wuji Kungfu Academy is stationed at Wudang mountain (a place where our founder master Zhang Sanfeng created Taijiquan more than 600 years ago). This is a place with great influences in traditional Chinese cultures of health cultivation and self defense skills. Students at the school can experience the fascination of real Wudang Kungfu and traditional Taoist health cultivation methods, gradually master the Wudang internal martial art, so as to achieve the outcomes of physical fitness, prevent illnesses, self defense, and self cultivation.
The 20 Years Development Plan of Wudang Taoist Wuji Kungfu Academy
The First 5-year Plan (2017 - 2021)
1. Set up a complete organization structure which included the front line (chosen from disciples, students or followers), logistics/ back office, admissions office, teaching department, research department (chosen from disciples and those profound in wushu and health cultivation) and the administration office that coordinates each departments.
2. Complete the first phrase - the construction of campus site for the school. Apply for government policy support to set up the school’s campus which can accommodate around 80 to 100 people.
3. Complete the training and recruitment of school’s coaches and teachers. Form an organized and ordered inheritance system.
4. Complete the teaching materials (books or videos) - for promoting the Wudang wushu and health cultivation culture to the world.
The Second & Third 5-year Plan (2022 - 2031)
Complete the second phrase - expand the school to medium-scale. Set up branches and build up strategic partners across the country and around the world. Continue to deepen the personnel’s  training and team building.
The Forth 5-year Plan (2032 - 2037)
To develop into a base for Wudang sect which included academic, martial art, medical and Taoist culture, with the disciples from all around the world.

Course Features of 2019 Teenagers Wushu Summer Camp & Adults Taichi and Health Cultivation Summer Camp

Course features:
·Wushu: wushu basic skills, Wudang internal kungfu, Wudang routines
·Cultural: traditional Chinese cultures (Tao Te Ching, Taoism thought and life philosophy )
·Musical instrument: guzheng (a stringed plucked instrument), flute
·Calligraphy: brush, pen
·English: oral communication
·Tea ceremony
·Military training: formation, discipline, military posture, stop-to-turn, squat, stand up, march, salute etc (build up sense of discipline and obedience)
·Housekeeping: bed-making, quilt-stacking, items-placing, laundry, personal hygiene, room cleaning etc (train the characteristic of independence)
·Wudang mountain study tour.
(There will be an opening and a closing ceremony)
The summer camp will be held on 10th July to 10th Aug and lasts for 30 days. Students can choose to attend the course for 15 days or 30 days. All students will be divided into three study groups according to students’ intention and wushu background. There are: Wushu Foundation Class, Disciple Preparatory Class and Adult Taichi & Health Cultivation Class.

Wushu Foundation Class, Duration: 15 days
For first timers or those without wushu background
First batch: July 10 - July 25
Second batch: July 26 - Aug 10
Those who finished the half month(15 days) class and intended to extend their study can join the one month (30 days) class or train with our long term students.
Course contents:
The course is mainly focuses on the wushu basic skills, including basic skills (jibengong), five-step boxing, junior three-way long boxing, Wudang taiji 9 steps, Wudang internal kungfu such as stance exercise and meditation will also be introduce to the students. Considering the lack of wushu foundation among the students, the training intensity will be gradual in order cultivate the interest of the students and let them experience the traditional style of “pen and sword” life.

Single room: ¥ 7,500/person
Standard room: ¥ 6,000/person
Triple room: ¥ 5,000/person
Dorm room: ¥ 4,200/person

Disciple Preparatory Class (30 days)
For frequent comers and long term students. The training intensity will be increase accordingly.
Duration: July 10 - Aug 10
Course contents:
Besides practicing the basic skills, the course will further study Wudang internal kungfu, more practices on stance exercise, power training, flexibility training to cultivate the Qi and power. In addition, the students will study the Wudang Taichi, Xingyi boxing, Bagua palm and other elementary and intermediate level internal martial art.
Course fees: (vary according to room type)
Single room: ¥ 12,500/person
Standard room: ¥ 9,500/person
Triple room: ¥ 8,300/person
Dorm room: ¥ 6,500/person

Outstanding students will be trained as long-term summer students and be impart with Wudang cultures and kungfu. (Parents who wish to study can join the Adult Taichi & Health Cultivation Class.)

Adult Taichi &Health Cultivation Class
For parents and Taichi lovers (Duration is 15 days, can extend to 30 days as well)

Course contents:
Adult Taichi & Health Cultivation Class emphasizes on the basics of Wudang internal martial art which included Wuji stance exercise, sitting meditation, Wudang Taichi 9 Steps and Wudang Five Animals. The objective is to spread the Taoist health cultivation culture in both theoretical and practical ways.
1. Classics reading and learning: the classics related to the practices of Neidan (inner elixir) and Taichi written by our founder master Zhang Sanfeng and his disciples.
2. The study of Taoist philosophy, knowledge of Qigong, Theory of Meridians and Collaterals and Theory of Force in order for students to understand our body structures. When the students understand the basis of how the practice works, he/she can practices with a clear mind of why, how and what (the processes and outcomes).
3. The three methods of practicing Taichi internal kungfu: stance exercise, sitting meditation and sleeping meditation (the posture and mental process)(to be practice throughout the course and is highly recommended to be continue practicing after students going home)
4. Taichi basic skills: distinguishes of “raise-fall”, “open-close”, “empty-solid”, horse stance, independent stance, taichi walking. Five steps (lunge, horse step, empty step, crouch step, rest step), hand exercise, waist exercise, guidance (daoyin)
Past summer camp adult taichi class
30 Days Course (Same as Disciple Preparatory Class)
Duration: July 10 - Aug 10
Course fees: (vary according to room type)

Course contents:
The course contents are similar to 15 days Adult Taichi Class with an additional of Wudang Taichi 36 Steps.

Note: About the Dining Options
1. Those who attend the summer camp can choose to dine at the four-star hotel (Qiongtai Hotel)’s buffet restaurant. The dishes there will be more diversify and nutritious. The cost for dining at the restaurant is 55 Yuan per person per day (three meals per day). (The deposit for dining card is 50 Yuan and is bear by individual)
2. Students might also choose to dine at our school. However, the dishes will be relatively light and simple. It is suggested that parents can choose the appropriate dining option according to the health condition and demand of individual.
If student want to upgrade their dining option to hotel buffet restaurant, an additional fees will be charge. For the 15 days course, the additional fee is 825 Yuan and for the 30 days course, the additional fee is 1650 Yuan.
Things to bring:
1. Personal toiletries (cup/ toothbrush/ toothpaste/ towel/ shampoo and detergent etc)
2. School homework (stationery/diary book/ revision books etc) [please prepare with appropriate planning]

Wushu Training

Stance, boxing, steps, kicks, guidance, force training, serial boxing, five-step boxing, Xingyi boxing, Wudang boxing, Bagua palm, Taichi etc.

Military Training

There will be formation training and discipline training which included military posture, stop-to-turn, squat, stand up, march, salute etc. to build up the sense of discipline and obedience.

Housekeeping

Bed-making, quilt-stacking, items-placing, laundry, personal hygiene, room cleaning etc. to train the independence characteristic.

Traditional Chinese Cultures

Students can choose one of the classics, <Tao Te Ching>, <Di Zi Gui>, or <San Zi Jing> to study and memorize. There will be calligraphy class as well. Besides, each students have to learn the Wudang sect five commandments, ten commandments and boxing classics. The boxing classics have to be read, copy and memorize.

Calligraphy

Practicing of calligraphy can purify one’s mind, forms a calm temperament and improves one’s aesthetic quality. Chinese calligraphy is unique for the country and it helps to cultivate the sense of national pride and confidence.

Tea Ceremony

In the traditional tea ceremony class, students will practice the procedures of the ceremony under teacher’s guidance and encouragement.

English Class

The class will be given in a fun and happy environment in order to foster the interest of the children in language learning. It will be a pure English environment with all-around interactive among students and teachers.

Important Notes

1. Please bring along your personal id, student id, a copy of household register, passport (foreigner) for registration.
2. Please bring along your personal articles such as slippers, toiletries, paper, towels, cups etc.
3. A deposit of 200 Yuan is required in advance for reservation to secure the placement.
4. For safety purpose, children are not allowed to leave the school without permission.
5. Parents of summer camp students can accompany them. For parents who cannot accompany their children, our school will posts the summer camp’s photos, video etc. through Wechat. Please pay close attention for it.
6. If your child or adult has a medical history, especially serious disease, please take the initiative to inform the school and bring your own medicine with you in case needed. If the child is injured or sick: For minor case our school has a standby first aid kits. For serious or emergency conditions, our school will pays for the medical expenses in time and informs the parents.
7. Parents can buy personal accident insurance for their children for the peace of mind.
8. All students must respect the local culture and customs, take good care of precious cultural relics, flowers and trees. In case there is any damage, students have to bear the compensation by themselves.
9. All of our staffs will make the best effort to take care every children who attend the summer camp in return for the trust, understanding and supports from each parents. May all parents be happy and all children become the pillars of the country.

Please follow the below procedures for registration:
1. First, add the phone no. of our office (Wechat) 13872772706, transfer the deposit of 200 Yuan through Wechat to reserve the placement and confirm the arrival date. The balance of the fees can be pay after arrival (through bank card, Wechat or Alipay).
2. Fill in the application form.
3. A photo (a high resolution photo taken by cellphone is acceptable as well). Personal identity card, those without ID card can bring along a copy of household register, passport (foreigner).
4. For children please bring along school homework. And remember to bring along personal articles.
 

How To Get Here

1. By train
There are two train stations nearby: Shiyan Station and Wudangshan Station.
Wudangshan station: 20km from the downtown of Wudang Mountain. Take bus#203 (¥2) to the last station (approx. 20 minutes), or call up the school for pick up service.
Shiyan station: 34km from the downtown of Wudang Mountain. Take bus#202 (¥4) to the last station (approx. 55 minutes), or call up the school for pick up service.

2. By flight
Shiyan Wudang Shan Airport (IATA: WDS): About 15km from Shiyan City and 30km from Wudang Mountain Scenic Area. Take airport bus#1 to Shiyan train station and transfer to bus#202 (¥4) to the last station, or take airport express line (limited), or call up the school for pick up service.

Entry Ticket:
Our school is located in the Wudang Mountain Scenic Area. The distance from tourist center to our school is 24km. You need to buy an entrance ticket (¥ 235) at the ticket hall (approx. 500m from the Gate). The ticket included the bus fee, entrance fee, insurance and it valid for 3 days (for twice or multiple entries, you will need to buy another bus ticket for ¥20). For twice or multiple entries, a proper procedures should be done during the first entry to the scenic area. For more information about multiple entries, you can consult the staffs at the ticket hall, the changes subject to the disclosure of the scenic area authority.
Note: Limited purchase of entrance ticket. One phone number can only make one transaction per day (one transaction max. 5 tickets). If you need to purchase more tickets, please use another phone number)
 
Scenic Area Buses:
After buying the entry ticket, walk out from the ticket center and take the scenic area bus to Qiongtai (40 minutes) *if available, or else take the bus to Taizipo (20 minutes) and transit to Qiongtai (30 minutes). (Note: The last bus from Taizipo to Qiongtai is at 4p.m., if you found that you might be later than 4p.m., it is recommended that you stay overnight at the downtown and depart by the next morning.)
