When steps forward, the center gravity is not changes right away, steps forward with empty step first , next, slowly changes the center gravity, the changes of the center gravity and the movements is in place at the same time. When the movement is not coordinated or the power is not smooth, try to check the coordination of both hands and feet, try to check whether the waist and limbs are in accordance; try to check the consistency among the movements and the direction of sword; try to check whether the speed of the movements is proper.
2) Relax and natural, let the force flow smooth: Relax the waist and sink the hip, the moves must be stable and steady; the power of the sword is appropriated and coordinated; the power from the waist get through to arm and wrist.
3) The speed is just and the rhythm is clear: It is not encourage to be fast at the beginning. First, you must understand the direction and correct postures. After you get familiar with the moves then you can speed up but at the same time pay attention to the rhythm too. The rhythm of taiji sword is rigid or soft and high or low. The power of the sword can be differentiate into powerful or light, fast or slow.
4) Continuous and unrestrained: The consistency of moves is required during the fundamental stage while at the advanced stage, it is required to be continuous and unrestrained.
